A Director of Paras Ltd, with extensive experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry worldwide. Alan has a BSc in Geophysical Sciences from Southampton University and a PhD in Engineering Geophysics from Chelsea College, University of London.

Before co-starting Paras Consulting, Alan worked as a geophysicist for BP in exploration and field development worldwide, including Germany, Algeria, Indonesia and UKCS. Alan has recently spent a year seconded to OMV E&P GmbH as Head of E&P Information Systems.

Alan’s time with Paras has included wide experience in the following:

• Change Management of an IT unit from a technology delivery unit to a service delivery unit

• Development of integrated Information Services Strategies
• Facilitation

Outside work Alan has a wife and 2 daughters. When not travelling on business, Alan enjoys walking, sailing and playing the saxophone(badly!).
