Data Management Maturity Assessment Questions

The seven data management subject areas below should be answered by selecting a score from the column next to the questions. Although all of the questions may only require Yes or No answers, we would appreciate an estimate ranging from 0 to 3 in your answer. Once you have completed the questions select ‘Next’ and the details you have entered will be presented in the form of a spider diagram.

	Data Ownership	Please select:
	To what degree does your company have data ownership roles with defined responsibility?
	Do you and your colleagues regularly save and maintain data and information in a defined format?
	Do you and your colleagues regularly 'publish' data and information into recognised repositories and in a defined manner?
	Does your company use RASCI charts to assign ownership and define responsibility and accountability for different groups of people? 0=No, 3=Yes
	Does your company have a structured process for transferring data ownership when an individual moves on?

	Data Standards	Please select:
	To what extent does your company have and use data standards for such items as naming standards, quality control and data entry?
	Is everyone in the company/team aware of which data items should be stored in which applications and databases? If so, do they adhere to these dataflows?
