IM - Information Management
In most E&P companies Information Management is a challenging necessity, but when done well can add tangible business value to the company. The Information Management infrastructure of a company should be designed to answer certain executive questions, for example: • How are you performing relative to your original plan? These are easy questions to pose, but in the absence of integration of the key data disciplines, they are difficult to answer.
• Can it be demonstrated that capital is being invested in the best options?
• If the available capital was increased or decreased by ‘X’, what would be the impact?
• What can be done to improve prediction accuracy, and improve the capital efficiency of the operation?
People
Paras consultants have wide experience in the Information Management arena, and take an holistic approach, looking at People, Process and Technology. While many companies already have technology in place, we recognise that the most successful companies are those that focus IM efforts on ensuring that the “People” part works. With that in mind, we work alongside existing teams, training and developing skills internally, as well as providing overall project and programme management services. Process
For the “Process” part, Paras is well-known for their insight into working processes, and having experience with industry Best Practice. This is woven into our service from day one. We have developed a complete toolkit of templates, which includes documentation processes and workflow templates that can be used in individual projects, or as part of an overall IS strategy.
