Integrating Quantitative & Qualitative Approaches to Portfolio Management
Portfolio management theory talks about the need for balanced portfolios – high risk through to low risk. However most companies have bi-modal risk distributions, with a mixture of small low risk options near to producing fields and a miscellaneous set of high-risk prospects.

The AAD&S Data Deluge
A&D activity within UKCS is increasing owing to a number of converging factors. Large volumes of data are exchanging hands ….but this is not happening in an optimum way. A number of pan-industry initiatives exist (or are being planned) aimed at streamlining processes. E & P companies should take advantage of these & look to improve their internal DM systems as part of the overall solution.
